Bleecker Street has released the first trailer and poster for Together, the upcoming black comedy film from the Oscar-nominated director Stephen daldry that stars James mcavoy (To divide, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Sharon Horgan (Disaster, Game night) as two romantic partners who are forced to rethink their relationship when quarantined together on lockdown. The film will hit theaters on August 27.

The trailer immediately offers a feel for the comedic styles on display and proves that McAvoy and Horgan have undeniable on-screen chemistry together. As the couple make their frustrations and anxieties known not only to each other, but sometimes even by breaking the fourth wall to address the viewing audience (or interrupting each other’s monologues), Together looks like a movie that too accurately captures the diverse range of emotions we have all experienced over the past year in our 40s of our homes.
