Diana Ross in “Mahogany”.

During February weekends, Tampa’s stately and historic Tampa Theater will screen four classic films focusing on African-American relationships. Each has a different community partner and guest speakers like “Love & Basketball” sponsored by the City of Tampa featuring a talk by Director of Parks and Recreation Sherisha Hills and Mayor Jane Castor.

If you can only choose one, it has to be Diana Ross 1975 Mahogany, aka the hottest movie of all time, airing at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 26. Ross and Billy Dee Williams’ on-screen romance is forever heartbreaking (as also seen in Lady Sings the Blues.)

All tickets are $10 or $7 if you are a member. Masks are mandatory. For more information, visit tampatheâtre.org.
