Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo Reunite for New Comedy Film


Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo: Bridesmaids writers Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are all set to re-collaborate for an upcoming comedy flick Barb and Star go to Vista Del Mar.

In the film, Kristen and Annie will play two women named Star and Barb, respectively. Actor Jamie Dornan will play the lead role of Edgar. Besides starring in the film, Wiig and Mumolo also wrote the screenplay for the film. The comedy will be directed by Josh Greenbaum.

The movie is American the comedy which will tell the story of two women who seek adventure after leaving their small town for the very first time. It will be released on February 12, 2021.

In an interview with Today, Kristen said “the seeds of Barb and Star were planted many years ago.” She also added that she and Annie kinda “gravity towards middle-aged women who look a lot alike with big wigs.” Annie Mumolo complimented his co-star Jamie Dornan saying he was a “dream to watch” as he somersaulted and rolled in the beach sand. “He was so ready for anything,” she added.

Actress Kristen Wiig was last seen in Wonder Woman 1984 which also starred actor Gal Gadot. Annie Mumolo was last seen in an American comedy-mystery series Mapleworth murders.
