Kendrick Lamar Working on a Comedy Film with South Park Creators – Up News Info

K. Dot and her producing partner Dave Free are teaming up for the live production this year.

Kendrick Lamar is getting into gaming with his company pgLang, and their first venture is in an unnamed project with South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

The live-action comedy begins production this year and is set to roll out to the new Paramount+ platform. Not much is known about the film in regards to cast, location, etc., but we have received a brief summary of what to expect from the collaboration.

“The film will depict the past and present at their climax,” the press release reads. “When a young [B]Man who interns as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.”

pgLang was started by Kendrick and Dave Free in 2020, a multidisciplinary company that houses not only a record label, but also a production and publishing house.

Their mission statement focuses on new expression and community, so chances are we’ll see more from the company in its various guises throughout the year.
