Seinfeld, Veep, and The New Adventures of Old Christine Star Julia Louis-Dreyfus signed to re-team with Nicole holofcener (Parks and recreation, Can you ever forgive me?, The last duel) for a new comedy called Beth and Don. The couple previously teamed up on the highly acclaimed 2013 romantic comedy. Enough said. Louis-Dreyfus will produce and star in the film, with Holofcener writing the screenplay in addition to directing it.
Here is the official login line:
âBeth is a New York novelist in an incredibly happy marriage to Don, who loves and supports her in every way. One day, when Beth hears her admit that he hasn’t liked her writing since. years, it threatens to undo all that is good in their life.
Anthony Bregman of Likely Story will produce the film, and he said of the arrangement:
âNicole and Julia are the masters of modern human comedy – stories where we can see our own awkwardness and blind spots in every well-meaning character. As with their latest ‘Enough Said’ collaboration, ‘Beth and Don’ is a story brilliant and daring of people trying to behave well and failing in hilarious ways.
It looks like another big project for Louis-Dreyfus and Holofcener. I love their comedic style and can’t wait to find out.
