Season two of 20th Digital Studio‘s Bite Size Halloween, a series of shorts ranging from horror comedy to psychological thrillers and everything in between, is now available to stream on Hulu. Created by promising filmmakers, these films will be screened on digital and broadcast platforms. Freeform, FX, and by Hulu Huluween platform hub and YouTube channel.

Halloween 2021 bite size presents 18 emerging filmmakers representing a range of styles, identities, countries and backgrounds. Through horror and comedy, these short films address issues such as race, gender, motherhood, beauty, sexuality, the environment and workplace safety. The long-term goal of 20th Digital Studioshort film programs is to continue to guide and fund the career growth of these artists and to upgrade some short films to feature films. 20th Digital is currently making the first feature film developed in this way, which is slated to debut on Hulu in 2022.
This year’s writers and directors group includes Ann Marie Pace (Disney Launchpad Shorts), Kelly Fyffe-Marshall & Tamar Bird (TIFF Changemaker Award), Faride Schroeder (Cannes Nespresso Talents) and Ken Ochiai (SAIGON BODYGUARDS). Additionally, three Oscar nominees are featured: Yalitza Aparicio (ROMA), Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT) and cinematographer Robert Yeoman (THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL). Troian Bellisario (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS) and Charles Gould (THE BIG SICK) are both writers and actors in their respective shorts. Also on screen are Rachel Sennott (SHIVA BABY), Virginia Newcomb (upcoming LE BETA TEST), Andrea Londo (NARCOS), Brianna Baker (9-1-1: LONE STAR) and Caitlin Gerard (AMERICAN CRIME).
Continuing a partnership now in its third iteration, some films feature Mars Candy integrations and / or will air on the Freeform, FX, and FXX broadcast networks with sponsorship from Twix, Skittles, and Snickers.
Formerly Fox Digital Studio, 20th Digital StudioThe Bite Size Horror short film series, previously titled Bite Size Horror, was released during the 2017 Halloween season and broadcast live and online, winning the “Best of the Best” in short fiction by the Brand Film Festival 2018. The series returned in 2020 and debuted on Hulu. This thrilling short film collaboration has developed a platform for brands and advertisers to work with creative filmmakers.
