American Sharia is coming to the UK! The Muslim comedy of the year!

Penny Callan international humanitarian charity, are hosting exclusive UK screenings of the highly anticipated Muslim comedy film, American Sharia.

The family film will be screened in 22 cities across the UK from February 2015.

The film tells the story of a Muslim detective who has his own prejudices against Islam, following constant exposure to Islamophobia. His transformational journey, which results in ending growing Islamophobic tensions between the police and the community he serves, is seen throughout the film.

American Shariah features some of the world’s greatest Muslim artists, including the film‘s lead star and tour host, Omar Regan – a renowned Hollywood actor and a household name for stand-up comedy.

“It’s an alternative form of entertainment, at a time when we are surrounded and exposed to increasing negativity and slander. I’m so excited to see my film with UK audiences and support Penny Appeal at the same time.

The tour is an exclusive part of Penny Appeal’s monthly charity extravaganza, Smile Relief, which aims to raise money for orphans around the world.

CEO of Penny Appeal, Aamer Naeem, adds: “Smile Relief is a special month where we will be encouraging people to download our fundraising pack and raise money for orphans. We will also be broadcasting a special telethon live on UK Muslim TV in February.
