Yet another instantly forgettable vacation flick to ignore. Shawnee smith plays the role of perfectionist expectant mother Diane Walters, who spends every year planning the perfect Christmas vacation. When her husband is whisked out of town on business and her eccentric doctor confines her to bed rest, she races against the clock to throw another memorable celebration. As she struggles to create the perfect vacation, her loving but dysfunctional family collapses around her. The ensemble cast also includes dean winters, Caroline aaron, Betsy beutler, Paris Bravo, Nate Torrence, Richard thomas, Jack McGee, with Bruce Dern and Chris Elliott. It just doesn’t seem like it has anything new to offer, unfortunately.

Comedy crew member Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg sustain “massive” injuries on set

An unidentified man was injured in a scene in an upcoming comedy film starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey told PEOPLE the LAPD received “multiple 911 calls” as early as 7:04 am Tuesday, reporting an incident involving a 38-year-old man who had fallen from an “estimate of 60 to 80 feet” while on a soundstage at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles.

Humphrey said the man “had no pulse” and was not breathing when paramedics arrived at the scene. He added that the man had suffered “massive trauma” including “broken legs and arms” and had “hemorrhaged” while being treated by medics and paramedics.

“The doctors were incredibly able to restore his heartbeat, breathing and pulse,” said Humphrey, adding that the man had been rushed to a regional trauma center. “He has a chance of survival in combat.”

Humphrey added that Cal / OSHA is investigating the incident.

According to Deadline, the incident took place on the Netflix soundstage for the upcoming Hart and Wahlberg comedy. Me time.

A Netflix spokesperson did not immediately comment. TMZ first reported the news.

Hart and Wahlberg are working together on the next comedy film that follows a stay-at-home dad (Hart) being given “time for me” for the first time in years when his kids and wife are away. He reconnects with a friend (Wahlberg) for a weekend of epic proportions.

Regina Hall also stars in the film, Deadline previously reported.

Last week, Hart revealed that he and Wahlberg were teaming up for the film in an Instagram post where they both appeared in the photo.

Wes Anderson is the curator of a French film series online in NYC before ‘The French Dispatch’

NAU’s long-running Tuesday night movie series is back.

Unlike in the past, this year’s series will screen films every other Tuesday night from September through November.

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and College of Arts and Letters, Northern Arizona University film series, co-sponsored by the Cline Library, promotes understanding and appreciation of cinema at NAU and the broader community of Flagstaff.

This season will feature two distinct themes in two different series.

The first Tuesday of each month, plus a special screening on November 30, will feature films from 1971, a retrospective of films celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Then, on the third Tuesday of each month, we will be showing films celebrating National Heritage Months.

As since 2004, the film series will project a mix of genres and artists, with well-known and little-known films from decades past.

The series began with a cult classic, the 1971s Harold and Maude, directed by Hal Ashby.

On September 21, we salute National Hispanic Heritage Month with Real women have curves, an award-winning 2002 film written and directed by, starring and focusing on the stories of women. Writer Josefina Lopez adapted her coming-of-age movie about a high school student, played by America Ferrera – several years before her hit series Ugly Betty – who is torn between dreams and family obligations.
