2014 American Comedy Awards: Red Carpet Assault of Amy Poehler, Bill Cosby and More | Entertainment/Life

The American Comedy Awards drew a wide array of comedic talent during the taping of the 2014 awards ceremony on Saturday night — and on the red carpet outside the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

The results will not be announced publicly until 9 p.m. on May 8, when the “American Comedy Award” airs on NBC, honoring the past year’s comedic achievements in film and television, as well as tributes to comedy legends. But you can get clues as to who won based on who showed up.

Among those on the red carpet were Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Cosby, Leslie Mann, Johnny Knoxville, Kate McKinnon, Craig Robinson, Bill Hader and Seth Rogan. Cosby was to receive the Johnny Carson Award at the ceremony, according to the Huffington Post.

According to NBC, the nominations were made to a panel of 860 working comedy professionals, including writers, performers, producers, directors and comedians.

Comedy Central led with 12 nominations overall, while NBC had 11. “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” and “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” were among the nominees for Best Comedy Picture.
